Orlando's Favorite Gift Boutique

7 year old, Lucy, had an idea in 2017 to help bring joy to the homeless, over the holidays.  She wanted to bring gifts and 'make them smile'.  When friends and family learned what she was doing, donations started pouring in.  Through her hard work, she was able to raise funds and donations and put together over 30 care packages.  The care packages were stuffed full of necessities, snacks and small treats.  Lucy and her family handed out the care packages in downtown Orlando, the week before Christmas, and completed her mission to 'Spark Hope' and bring smiles to the faces of the homeless at Christmas.

As any who know Lucy could predict, the story doesn't end here.  While delivering the holiday bags, Lucy leaned what the homeless needed the most are dental care items.  She then began on her next mission, 'Operation Smile' with the same goal in mind: to bring smiles to the homeless.  With the help of friends and family, she was able to make over 50 dental care packages.  She and her family delivered the packages to the homeless the week before Easter in 2018 and a tradition was born.

Lucy is at it again, this holiday season, with a goal of delivering 100 'gifts', this year.  She has begun baking homemade peanut butter and pumpkin dog treats and selling them at Driftwood Market, her family's store, on the weekends.  So far, in just two days, she has raised over $200.  She sends a special thank you to all of our friends, customers and complete strangers who are helping her on this journey.  If you'd like to make a donation, you can find Lucy's dog treats at Driftwood Market in Winter Garden, on the weekends, or send a monetary donation via Paypal to driftwooddm@gmail.com.

Lucy wants to wish you and yours a very happy holidays!
